KOR 4001: Contemporary Korean

A review of writing conventions, orthography, and stylistics in contemporary Korean to help students hone composition and rhetoric competence. Taught in Korean.

KOR 4002: Selected Reading of Modern Korean

A survey of literary texts in various genres, including classic and modern Korean literature, to help students cultivate critical reading proficiency. Taught in Korean.

KOR 4060: Media and Public Culture

Development of cultural awareness and analytical thinking in the context of Korean pop media, such as newspapers, films, drama, TV shows, music, radio, advertisements, and documentaries. Taught in Korean.

KOR 4150: Korean Service-Learning in the Korean Community

Helps students improve their practical skills of Korean through their short-term volunteer “Service” in the Korean business and/or communities in the Metro-Atlanta area. 

KOR 4500: Intercultural Seminar

Integrates cross-cultural research and reflection into discussion of current issues in Korea. Taught in Korean.

KOR 4691: Korean Society

Aims to develop students’ understanding of Korean society and culture through lectures, discussion, cultural site visits, and field work activities. Taught in Korean.
